Hand carved from Coconut wood (as hard as ironwood). It is a long fibered exotic hardwood. The standard bokken commonly used in the weapons practice of Aikido and Aikijutsu.

What makes our bokken different is most standard oak bokkens are 40" OA, with a 30" Blade and 10" Handle.

The Shinai (bamboo sword) itself is, of course, not a point area, though, upon making an attack, to knock aside or to brush off an opponent's Shinai is an important part of technique.
